Singing, for me, is the ultimate expression of human emotion.

Singing is breathing out words and music. Breath nourishes the body

and voice. Words give the voice color. When poetry is set to music, the

words and melody bond inseparably. And so my life's practice has been

to focus on both. This, I believe, is the singer's work.
